Audi Q8 is a dramatized version of the boxier Q7 three-row SUV, with sleek looks and an equally smooth ride. They share the same excellent underpinnings, including a turbocharged 335-hp V-6 engine, an eight-speed automatic, and all-wheel drive, but the Q8 starts much more. The Q8’s chassis and acceleration are a mix of sweet and spicy, but this luxury SUV isn’t afraid to guzzle gas.

The Q8, like other sporty-shaped SUVs such as the BMW X6 or Mercedes-Benz GLE-class Coupe, prioritizes comfort with a plush interior and high-tech controls. A 500-hp SQ8 and an even more powerful 591-hp RS Q8 are also available, but we’ll go over each one separately.

What’s New

Audi Q8 2024 comes with 20-inch alloy wheels with the option of 21-inch, and the ground clearance is 254 mm. The Q8’s short overhangs and Quattro all-wheel drive offer it a notable advantage off-road, and the suspension with damper control also contributes significantly to its off-road prowess. Audi India offers adjustable air suspension with regulated damping in either comfort or sport mode. It changes the ride height by up to 90 mm based on the driving situation.

Audi Q8 2024 will only be offered with a petrol engine, a 3-liter TFSI engine producing 340 horsepower, and it is BS6 compliant. The automobile will produce 500 Nm of torque and accelerate from 0 to 100 mph in just 5.9 seconds. The top speed is listed at 250 kilometers per hour. The Q8 also has a 48-volt main electrical system, which includes a lithium-ion battery and a belt alternator starter. During braking, it can recover up to 12kW of electricity and put it back into the batteries.

The cabin is futuristic, with all of the gadgets that the car has to offer. Audi offers several options for the vehicle, including customized contour seats with massage function and ventilation, four-zone climate control, and an air quality package with smell and ionizer. There are two huge displays on the dashboard. The one on top is a 10.1-inch unit that controls the navigation and infotainment systems. The 8.6-inch unit at the bottom features heating and air conditioning displays. Of course, there’s Audi’s virtual cockpit, which is a 12.3-inch high-resolution display that can be toggled between two views using the multifunction steering wheel.

Audi Q8 2024 Price

The price of the Audi Q8 2024, a 5-seater SUV, ranges from Rs. 1.07 to 1.43 crore. It comes in two models, each with a 2995 cc engine and one gearbox option: automatic. The Q8 has a five-star NCAP certification and eight airbags. The Audi Q8 is available in nine colors. Users have recorded 9.8 kmpl for Q8.

Styling And Design

Audi Q8 2024 has a reputation for making sophisticated vehicles, and the Q8 is no exception. The powerful front with the black octagonal Singleframe grille gives it a dominating presence, which is enhanced by the dazzling Matrix LED headlights. The S Line trim, with its Black Package Plus, gives a sense of danger with blacked-out accents and roof rails that suit the Mythos Black, Glacier White, and Daytona Grey color schemes. The 21-inch Graphite Grey alloy wheels are the finishing touch on this masterpiece, making the Q8 a show-stopper on any road.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance

Audi equips each Q8 with a turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 producing 335 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. It comes equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive. A 48-volt hybrid-assist system facilitates stop-start operation, which was smooth and quiet during our test. While the Audi had enough overtaking capability on the highway, it seemed timid around town unless we pushed the throttle pedal. The transmission had typically good reactions, but it and the engine worked best in Dynamic mode, which resulted in faster responses.

We simply wish the engine and exhaust generated more powerful sounds. While it changes directions quickly and obediently hustles around curves, it is less entertaining than other Audi sedans, such as the elegant A7. The Q8’s steering features little effort and linear input, which is enjoyable on long drives but tedious on switchback roads. Our test vehicle had the optional air suspension and 22-inch wheels, although 21-inch wheels are standard. Even on bumpy ground, these huge rollers remained quite quiet. Our Q8 was agile in tight areas and capable of navigating bumpy terrain thanks to its adjustable ride height and four-wheel steering (available with the Adaptive Chassis package).

Its brake pedal was easy to adjust at highway speeds but lacked consistency in traffic. Nonetheless, it slowed the big crossover from 70 mph to zero in a respectable 170 feet during our emergency braking test.

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo

Audi Q8 2024 has created a stylish and durable environment within the Q8. The materials are high quality, and the panels are neatly aligned. The base model lacks luxury options like four-zone climate control and a leather dashboard with contrast stitching, but it does include heated front seats and a panoramic sunroof. Only the top-tier model includes massaging front seats, improved leather surfaces, and quieter dual-pane glass. Our test vehicle included all of this, as well as a head-up display and configurable ambient interior lighting. The Q8 is not only visually remarkable, but it also provides enough passenger room.

Despite its higher height, the driving stance is still sporty, and two adults can stretch out comfortably in the rear. Although the two-row Q8 has less cargo room than the three-row Q7, we were able to fit eight carry-on bags under the back seat. With the split rear bench folded virtually flat, the number increased to 23 (two fewer than in Q7). Our test car had the optional air suspension, which can lower the rear end to assist with luggage loading and unloading. The Q8 has minimal cubby storage. The short center console bin and narrow door pockets left us with few options for storing small objects.
